Philip Voldman

Originally from New York, Philip attended LaGuardia HS of Music & Art and Performing Arts. He then trained at the RCM, GSMD where he was appointed Repetiteur Fellow, and NOS, supported by the Leonard Hancock Memorial Trust Bursary.

Selected credits include: Il Tabarro, Pelleas et Melisande, Werther (Grimeborn Festival, MD), Suor Angelica with Talent Unlimited at St James Piccadilly, the Essential Scottish Opera Tour (MD, repetiteur), Belisario (Chelsea Opera Group, repetiteur, conducted by Richard Bonynge), and Der Ring des Nibelungen (Longborough Festival Opera, Music Staff).

Philip has been repetiteur at Opera Holland Park on Turn of the Screw, Samson et Dalila (Grange Park Opera) The Rake’s Progress (Teatro Municipal de Santiago), Le roi de Lahore (Chelsea Opera Group, Music Staff), from October 2015 to May 2016, Scottish Opera Emerging Artist – Repetiteur and Assistant Conductor. As well as, Chief Repetiteur Il trovatore (Royal Opera) and Assistant Conductor/ Chorus Master/ Language Coach The Queen of Spades (OHP).

From October 2015 to May 2016, Philip was Scottish Opera Emerging Artist – Repetiteur and Assistant Conductor. Philip was on the music staff at Opera North (2016–17 Season). Upcoming events include Macbeth with the Buxton Festival and Opera North (2017–18 Season).
