Interactive cookery demonstrations led by chefs from two of the Peak District’s best-known restaurants: Michelin starred Fischer’s at Baslow Hall and double AA rosette winners East Lodge Country House Hotel. 

Using the high-tech cookery demonstration suite at the University of Derby’s stunning Devonshire Dome, the chefs show how our region’s top quality produce can just as easily be used to make delicious meals at home as in an award-winning kitchen. 

Come to be inspired by these talented local chefs and to taste some of their creations.

Max Fischer, head chef at Derbyshire's only Michelin-starred restaurant, will be using local seasonal produce from the garden at Baslow Hall. Watch this space for the menu...coming soon!

Simon Bradley began his career at the Ritz in Paris. He has since worked alongside Raymond Blanc at Le Manoir aux Quait' Saisons; John Burton-Race at L'Ortolan and Oliver Payton at Coast. He then spent eight years at Odette's in Primrose Hill.

Simon's menu will be Derbyshire inspired and use products so local they include ingredients from the hotel garden!

Buxton train station is five minutes walk from the Opera House and the centre of town.

You can travel direct from Manchester to Buxton, or if you are coming from London, Virgin Trains takes you from Euston to Macclesfield.

Taxis cost about £20 from Macclesfield to Buxton.

Buxton is an hour’s drive from Manchester, Sheffield, Nottingham and Derby.

Parking can be a little fraught in Buxton. Public transport is often a better option - especially for the environment.
