Individuals can make a practical and lasting contribution to ensure the
future of Buxton Festival by leaving a legacy or making a donation to
the Buxton Festival Foundation. The Foundation was established in
2002 as an endowment fund to safeguard the long-term future of the
Festival, to enable it to maintain high artistic standards and to plan
ahead with confidence. Grants from the Foundation will support the
Festival’s artistic policy of presenting less frequently performed
operas, thereby complementing other major opera companies and of
involving the people of Buxton and the surrounding area in creative arts
activity.
If you would like to help safeguard the long-term future of the Buxton
Festival by either leaving a legacy or making a donation of £1,000 or more,
please send for a detailed fact sheet we have prepared on legacies, the making
of wills and tax-effective ways of giving. The Foundation is a
registered charity and therefore legacies made to it are not liable for
Inheritance Tax and donations are tax-effective.
