Rebecca is a stage director working across devised theatre, new writing, classics and opera. Recent work has been presented at Ovalhouse, Rich Mix, The National Theatre Studio, Kings Place and at The Bussey Building.
She is co-founder and director of Born Mad, an experimental music theatre company based in London. Their new production Sister has been developed with the support of Bristol Old Vic Ferment Scheme, and was premiered at Spitalfields Music Summer Festival before a run at Ovalhouse in June 2016.
She has worked as an assistant director on productions for some of the UK’s most prestigious companies including Orlando (Welsh National Opera), Twelfth Night (Regents Park Open Air Theatre), Così fan tutte (English Touring Opera), The Pearl Fishers (Opera Holland Park), Most of the Boys (Linbury Studio Theatre, Royal Opera House) and Xerxes, Rinaldo (Longborough Festival Opera). For her next role, she will assist Sir Thomas Allen at Scottish Opera’s acclaimed production of The Marriage of Figaro.
