How to book tickets online

We’re expecting a high level of bookings this month so we recommend using our online booking system to reserve your seats. We’ve shared a step-by-step guide which shows you how to book tickets online for the Buxton International Festival below:

How the online booking process works:

1. Start from our What’s On page.

From here you can search for your event by category and/or by day. Please note that events with multiple showings, like our operas and opera talks, will display all times and days available including the day you have selected. Simply click on the coloured block to find out more about the event and to book your preferred date and time.

2. Click ‘Book’ on the event of your choice.

This will open a new tab and take you to the Box Office page on the Buxton Opera House website.

3. Enter your priority booking code

Enter the priority booking code that was sent to you with your brochure and also via email, then press ‘Apply code’.

4. Choose your seating area

If you are booking a seat in Buxton Opera House you will be taken through to the next booking page where you can choose the area in which you would like to sit.

5. Select your seats

You will now be taken through to the next booking page where you can choose how many tickets and the seats you would like. Press ‘Continue’ after making your selections where you will be asked to confirm your basket.

6. Confirm your seats

At this point you can either change your seats or press ‘confirm’ to continue with your booking.

7. Ticket Insurance

The Box Office will then ask whether you would like to add insurance to your booking.  You can either add it to your basket or press ‘Continue to Basket’ to continue with your booking.

8. View your basket

You will now see all the tickets in your basket.  At this point you can either press the grey ‘Continue browsing’ button on the right to book more tickets, or press the red ‘checkout’ button to buy your tickets.

9. Book more tickets

Having clicked on the ‘Continue browsing’ button, you will be taken to the Buxton Opera House ‘What’s on’ page.  To book more tickets you can click on the magnifying glass on the top right hand side of the page and type in the next event you’d like to book.

Alternatively, you can go back to BIF’s website by typing buxtonfestival.co.uk into your browser’s search bar at the top of the page. Don’t worry, your current basket will be remembered.

Repeat the process from stage 1 and find your next event on our What’s On page.

10. Checkout your completed basket

To checkout your basket and complete your booking, you will be asked to login or register an account if you are a new online customer.

We hope that this blog helps you in your online booking process. You are also able to troubleshoot or book by phone to the Box Office on 01298 72190.
