In 2012, Buxton Festival successfully applied to a new Arts Council England incentive through which individual gifts are matched by the Catalyst Fund. During the next three years we hope that our supporters will help us to maximise the value of this initiative.
The support of individuals is increasingly important to us, whether through Friends’ membership, legacies or simply a direct cash gift. As well as continuing to develop the quality of the Buxton Festival experience, it is important to us that we keep our ticket prices at an accessible level, and for all of this we need your help.
2014 Fundraising Campaign
We have recently launched a telephone fundraising campaign. Our Appeals team are currently contacting many of those who have attended Buxton Festival in the past few years and inviting them to support Buxton Festival at one of these levels:
400 Club – donate £26.67 per month (total £320 + Gift Aid = £400) to support an Opera Production
200 Club – donate £13.34 per month (total £160 + Gift Aid – £200) to support our Outreach Programme or Young Artists Programme
For more details, contact firstname.lastname@example.org
Gift Aid is a government scheme that allows registered charities to reclaim the tax that you have already paid on your donation. If you are a UK tax payer, Buxton Festival can reclaim from HMRC the tax that you have already paid on the donation. This amounts to an additional 25% of the gift, whether it is a once-off payment or a regular gift made through standing order or direct debit. If you are a higher-rate tax payer, the cost of your gift is reduced as well as the value to us being increased.
